The bottom line is it’s a lot more likely we’re going to find the right complimentary player for the center committee that includes Jonas, than we are going to find and pay a better big to upgrade Jonas with.

Assuming JV is still around in a coupla years, which is iffy at best, I could even see a committee of 3 with the other 2 being able to swing between the 4 & 5. And since JV would be the ONE I would NOT want on the court come crunch time, & especially for the playoffs...I have to ask just how much the Pels would be willing to spend for basically their #3 center?

I'm totally in the dark, when it comes to players' future salaries...so maybe he would still be a bargain 2 or 3 years from now. I like the guy & wouldn't mind if he stuck around, even as option #3...but it's time to get serious...if we're gonna take the next step, and become a serious contender.

Did you? He averaged double digit rebounds and points in the PHX series. Including an 25reb/18pt night. He was our leading rebounder and 3rd leading scorer for the season. Should be a priority.

I watched Ayton and Javale McGee score at will against him.

I also watched more than just the Pels series, in the other series rim protection was very important. And defensive deficiencies were abused.
