How does looking at the reality of the team's performance stack up against the desire to spew nonsense?

Not very well, it seems.

For those that have stuck with this franchise through all the bullshite on and off the court pre-Benson, it's nothing short of remarkable to see how far we've come. Now we can look forward to arena expansion and improvements, and actually pay attention to basketball. Also, we're really blessed to have a state government that embraces pro sports unlike Seattle, Atlanta, and others who are ok with letting them walk.
