The thought of trading some young guys/picks for proven vets to win faster is tempting, but I don't want to end up over paying anyone and hamstring progress. This organization got a once in a lifetime reset and they just acquired a ton of pieces. I'm hoping we use the rest of the cap to fill out with complementary pieces instead of swinging for the fences and skipping any steps.

The Pels have enough cap space to add a quality FA(s) without even trading any of these young pieces.

This is truly a great time to be a Pels fan.

We finally have some smart & savvy leadership that will have this young team playoff competitive in its first year.

That's fine but this team isn't one big piece away.

I think the grabbing more picks and sending Solo out was the best of both worlds getting that much cap the additional 1st.

We needed to somewhat clear the cupboard of losers and bring in new blood. Keeping Holiday and bringing in another strong vet to mentor these young guys is going to pay off huge. Even better, steal a couple guys that otherwise might have gone to the Lakers for less money..
