His stats the last 2 years doesn’t say he’s washed up, and we don’t need an all star as a 4th big behind Zion, Val and Larry.

The fact that no one in the league wanted him is a pretty good indicator he is washed up.

A trade will have to happen.
I am not sure if it will be for a big or a bigger wing (6’8” or 6’9”) or another guard who can break down the defense in th half court; but an expiring none the less.

If you look at the current roster and their salaries its obvious that a 2 for 1 will need to happen, come January.

Temple will either get traded or they will just not guarantee him for the 2023/24 season, which opens that roster spot for EJ Liddell.
Both Graham and Hayes will be likely be traded to upgrade as mentioned above, but more importantly to create roster space in 2023/24.

If you look at the roster and I mean unless something like a Durant or Shai trade eventuates then things will change dramatically.
However, if they keep most of their players like they did this year then they will have the following players in 2023/24.

CJ/Jose/Kira
Herb/Dyson/
Brandon/Trey/Naji
Zion/ /EJ
Jonas/Larry/Willy

They still need to add the 2023 Lakers pick, decide if they will add Dereon to the roster from their 2 way this season and there was talk that Karlo Matkovic will come over next season.
Chances are if Karlo comes next season he will be a 2-way for 2023/24.

So yes, there will be a 2 for 1 trade for an expiring that happens if they don’t need to give up draft capital to do so.
I’m good with that. Keep building, but don’t be desperate this season.
