Game 1 didn’t go according to plans; oh well, it’s only one game. With the end score being so wide, I don’t want to blame the refs; in this case, I think it’s appropriate. The game was very competitive until bad calls took their toll, starting with Gentry’s quick tech. We have to play mistake free to beat Golden State; we can’t beat Golden State and the refs.

Our lack of a SF sticks out. With all of Moore’s courage, he’s still a SG. Hill is a backup small-ball PF. Miller is a 3-pt specialist. We don’t have a complete SF on the roster. In a way, I’m happy we’re playing the Warriors, our deficiency at SF can’t be ignored. Besides resigning Boogie, getting a SF has to be the teams number one off-season priority.

I’m enjoying the playoff run, more casual fans are becoming familiar with the Pelicans. We need to win game 2. We need big games from Jrue and Mirotic, and for the refs to call the game fairly.

Go Pels!

Big games from jrue and mirotic? 9 pts each. indeed!
Who covered them?

Klay/iggy. Jrue

Mirotic kd/green

Switches to curry on.jrue seems hopeful. If curry can't stop him iggy comes in.
Mirotic had open 3s.

Klay has rep as very good defender. I still think jrue can get 20. 30 is going to needed unless mirotic has hot night from 3.

We were going toe to toe with them then our bench came in and the difference between the teams reared its head. Starter vs starter we can match them, they're just deeper, and that was my fear going into the series. Starter vs. starter against the Blazers we were straight up better than them.

Our bench needs to step up. And that's why having Boogie would be a big difference, have Mirotic Boogie and AD rotate and stagger Holiday running the point and the 2 when Rondo's on the court, we're just more versatile and have better rotations.
