Picked up I, II and III yesterday. Huge upgrade in sound. The separation and clarity of the instruments is pretty remarkable.
The rough cuts and alt mixes are pretty badass too, especially the rough cuts of Ramble On and Gallows Pole.
Anyone else given the reissues a listen yet?

I will at some point - I have Zeppelin remaster/reissue fatigue - having owned vinyl back to the early 80s.

Same here. I've gone from albums to eight tracks to cassettes to CD's and now remasters. It's an endless cycle. That being said, I'll eventually buy the remasters. I'm a sucker.

I would say Led Zeppelin III companion is the best of the new CD's. I really like the SIBLY cut, along with Friends and Gallows Pole.
On the flip side the live from Olympia in '69 on Led Zeppelin I companion was a bit disappointing. Heartbreaker without a solo (there isn't one that exists on a boot) was , How many more times is such an early live classic and it's somewhat MEH in my opinion. Happy to have a new live release though but there are boots of this show that are just as good. Would have like to see them re do Texas international pop festival from '69 instead IMO a much better show from '69.
All that being said, I'll take anything "new" from Zeppelin.

I agree with everything you said. Texas Pop would have been nice. I wasn't expecting a lot from the Olympia show, though. It's not like he had multitracks to work with. Hard to be too disappointed.
I'm really impressed with the Alt Celebration Day too. Sounds so clean and crisp. But yeah, I'll take any "new" Zep, even though I do understand the reluctance of some to once again update their catalog.

After as many times as I've bought these albums, I'll be damned if I'm going to do it again. Iomoio here I come.

At least get the high res flac files from pirate bay if you're going that route. Still.
At least for this vinylfile, the new 180g releases are wonderful and well worth it.

Does anyone know if there is any noticeable audio quality difference that comes with purchasing from iTunes or will it be no different than the quality of the hardcopy cd's?
I ask this because iTunes of course has to mastered for iTunes badge and I was unsure if there really was a quality difference if you were to purchase from iTunes. It's also slightly cheaper, but I've always liked having the hardcopies of the Zeppelin cd's, with the only hardcopy I don't own being Physical Graffiti.
Which route would y'all go?

Personally, I'd go to HD Tracks and get the hi-res (96/24) files. That'll probably give you the best sound quality. It's a bit pricey, though, at $30 a pop.
