You know what a weird music fact? Michael Jackson’s only US concerts happened in 1988.

He only performed 31 U.S dates in 1988. He never toured the U.S. again after the Bad Tour.
For a guy that’s so “legendary”, he really didn’t put in much work here.
I think he was featured or appeared at two concerts in 2001 post 911.
That’s it. You either saw him live in 1988 or you never saw him.

The Victory Tour was basically him touring to throw his brothers a bone.
The was Michael Jackson in concert at the peak of his popularity.

If you count the Jackson 5 and The Jacksons he toured a fair amount in the U.S.

Not completely true. There were two tribute shows September 7th and 10th, 2001. Not full MJ shows though, there were other performers.
Also, I didn’t know this. Pretty crazy
“ On September 11, 2001, Jackson along with his personal assistant Frank Cascio were scheduled for a meeting at the World Trade Center, to return a "two million" dollar watch Jackson used for the concert, and a diamond necklace for Elizabeth Taylor, but overslept and did not make it.[6] In the aftermath of the attacks, Jackson sponsored a charity concert titled United We Stand: What More Can I Give. The concerts were held in Washington, D.C.”

I feel like some of the child stuff started making The Enquirer and other gossip rounds around the early 90's. Could be wrong though.

I remember people complaining about how he was always doing shows in Japan and not the US in the 90s. Totally forgot until this thread.
