Why is that weird? I was banned most of that time and simply forgot the discuss this during the rare times I wasn't banned.

Wow, bruh....so odd!

This is nothing new.

Was soo loaded I passed out by the 2nd song and woke thinking I was at a Kenny Chesney.

Didn't see him all show because of his little corner. So when they curtain called I awoke phase shifted.

He went from front-and-center in the 1990s to nonexistent in 2016 (with exception to his voice). For all I know that wasn't even Maynard up there. It could've been an imposter simply gyrating in the shadows to the cadence of the music and a recording of Maynard's vocals.

I was at the voodoofest show in 2001 front row center and couldn't see maynard hardly at all because of this configuration.

Yeah, it's his shtick, but it doesn't make it any less boring. I saw them around '02 and it was a passive experience.

i've seen tool probably 9-10 times since the early 2000s. I've been to shows where you never saw him and i've been to shows where he was out in front doing his thing. it's not a 1990s vs 2016 thing

Well I can tell you it is in fact a 1990s versus 2000s thing. Plain and simple, Maynard was a FAR better entertainer in the 90s. He actually acted like he gave a shite.

I don't care if "this is his thing", his thing sucks.

It would be great if he became a lead singer again when they tour for the upcoming new album. As it stands right now he's nothing more than a recorded voice.

What are you talking about? I've seen Tool live in the 90s and 2000s...

I'm talking about the fact that you don't know how a supposed favorite band of yours performs live.

Usually people who enjoy a band's music watch live performances from time to time.

You're coming off as clueless to tool.

I literally just told you I've seen Tool live a few times. I prefer their 90s performances.

You're still not understanding.

If you had kept up with the band, you wouldn't have been disappointed.

Just because I hadn't been to a Tool show for 15 years prior to the St. Louis show early this year doesn't make me lesser of a Tool fan.
