Music just got so easy to mass produce. Each new artist has the same ingredients as the last but maybe a different sounding voice, or adding a violin or something simple. Music is no longer listened to as art in a mainstream view. People use it for background music and to live vicariously through while literally doing what the lyrics are saying (calling any female "girl", dirt roads, ice cold beer, right jeans, hill sides and river banks, moon, etc.). I'm sure the artists aren't stupid, they know its sink or swim and they have to (d)evolve. Music is getting dumbed down for people. The only group I see that is literally proud of their trash and I actually think they believe they are some sort of prodigies of music is Florida Georgia Line. The very idea of their success is salt in the wounds of trained musicians such as myself, and those much more talented.
