That is just opinion but however the younger generations consuming older music has never been stronger than it is today
This is definitely true and I think there are two reasons for that.
1. Content: More young people listen to old music because there’s more old music to listen to. Everything 1940-1999 is considered “old music”. I’m not exactly sure how old you are but I know for my parents old music was 1940-1965. There’s simply more music to pick from.
2. Availability: It’s so easy for people to get into old music these days. Just go on spotify and pick any song you like. You don’t need to hope it comes on the radio or go out and buy a record.

As the younger generations get older, they will keep consuming older music while slowly stop listening to newer music because it never held any substance to the soul.
Do you mean they’ll stop listening to newer music as in the music of 2020 or as in the music of 2050? Because they are gonna listen to the music of 2020. They will listen to the songs played at college parties, or songs played at high school prom. Songs that make them feel young. There’s a ton of research on this.

Main character complex? You're the one claiming to be an exception to your own silly rules. When I was in high school in the late 80s, the vast majority of my friends were listening to bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Eagles(I mostly listened to R&B but was going through my own Zeppelin/Doors faze at the time) as much or more than they were listening to hair metal and crap like that that was current at the time.
We also watched things like The Three Stooges, Little Rascals, and Bugs Bunny and couldn't give a frick less that it was 40+ years old or older.
It's just the current generations that seem to think that anything from the 20th century and earlier is irrelevant. It's your loss.
You're an Art Bell fan, right? Here's where you tell me that George Noory has a better chance of being remembered as host of the show than Art Bell....just going by your own logic.

Can you even read? I’ve not once said anything about the younger generation rejecting the old. You’re just proving my point.
Young people have always appreciated the older music and still do to this day. I don’t know where you got that from. But by and large, whatever was on the radio from ages 5-25 will be their favorite music.
The younger generation will always listen to older music in addition to new.
In 2060 kids will listen to whoever is popular, but they will also listen to Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and yes, even Kanye West, Taylor Swift, and Drake. Because they will be considered legends at that point, just like the rest of them.
And I know that probably makes you very angry and you should be careful with your blood pressure, but it’s the truth. Nobody is just gonna forget an entire 25 year period in music. A lot of old people thought the Beatles were just another boy band that would disappear.
You simply cannot be as culturally impactful as Kanye West and be forgotten. It won’t happen. To you he’s a just a guy who makes shitty music but to everyone born after 1995 he’s the guy. Just like MJ and the Beatles were.

Socrates
Imagine unironically quoting a dude that denied being a sophist but said they were totally cool
For the brainlets out there, a sophist was a traveling "wise man" who would walk around in Greece aledging he had all the answers and would get young people to flock to him. This is true of Socrates in regards to athens' youth. In plato's apology, he literally admits that he mocks the youths parents, calling them idiots and instigating civil unrest. This very accusation of corruption of youth is leveled against sophists by Xenophon in his excellent treatise "The one skilled at hunting with dogs" and one can see clearly Socrates is of such ilk, particularly considering he was tried and killed over it.
To quote such a man proves how poor one's taste and intellect is. Thus his opinions on other matters such as music cannot be trusted since he views a man who can have his entire life summed up with the phrase "I drank what" as quoteable.
And to answer the question, artists that will be listened to still:
Elvis - most people listen to him once they start to get older, not at 14 and he's the Kang for a reason. Literally just had another biopic come out.
The Beatles - because people are gay and always will be and will always want music to match their orientation
The rolling stones - because mick jagger is gonna live another 300 years because he has been pickled from drug use
Johnny Cash - because people who don't listen or like country know who he is and like some of his stuff, plus modern artists "sample" him (abomination imo to do such a thing)
ACDC - quite literally because they are a money machine and no one has the ability to make the same type of sound work for so many songs for +50 years on top of replacing all but 1 of the band members
Tom Petty - because despite being "dead" allegedly he is still releasing new albums and will be always. Also alot of songs sound like his and said artists will be suited for plagiarism like Sam Smith
Brittney Spears - because it's Brittney b$%@#
Journey - because they are the ultimate ballad band and don't stop believing is timeless
Artists people will know but NOT listen to
Michael Jackson - known due to pedo case and moon walking. Not his music
Kanye - known due to memes, taking the microphone from Taylor swift (who will be forgotten as discount miley cyrus), being married to Kim Kardashian, and possibly being president. Not his music.
Steven Seagal - he will be remembered for the masterpiece that is Under Siege, status as a buddhist llama, and the memes. Not his music
This is my list. If you disagree, you are wrong.

Kanye West is an American rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential hip hop musicians of all time, as well as one of the greatest musicians of his generation.
West's outspoken views and life outside of music have received significant media coverage. He has been a frequent source of controversy for his conduct on social media, award shows, and public settings; as well as his comments on the music and fashion industries, U.S. politics, race, and slavery. His Christian faith, estranged marriage to Kim Kardashian, and mental health have also been sources of further media attention. In 2020, West launched an unsuccessful independent presidential campaign that primarily advocated for a consistent life ethic.
Six of West's albums were included on Rolling Stone's 2020 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list with the same publication naming him one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.
He holds the joint record (with Bob Dylan) for most albums (4) topping the annual Pazz & Jop critic poll, and has the 5th most appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 (133 entries).
Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2005 and 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth at $2 billion as of 2022, making him the wealthiest musician in the world.
Imagine reading that and thinking he will just be forgotten in a few decades.

Let’s say it’s the year 2200 and you’re walking around asking random people if they have heard of ________?
What five musicians whose peak fame was in the 20th century do you think they would most likely recognize?
ive heard chuck klosterman ponder this question a few times. Basically his theory is that in a hundred or so years The Beatles will be the only name people will know. Like Miles Davis or Louis Armstrong increasingly being the only Jazz names people know.

Kanye West is 21st century, though, so ineligible for the OP's query.
