Where to buy a nice used guitar?

I have a couple nice acoustic guitars but my electric is a piece of shite.
I'm not good enough/don't play enough to want to invest in a sexy new one, but I'd like to look at some in decent shape, gently used that would still sound good.
Suggestions? tia

Pawn shops, but be weary. Check em out, research on them... serial numbers etc. Research a bit on what it is, don't be afraid to take notes of it.
Plenty of music shops also sell used guitars.
You can also look on ebay, craigslist, etc.

guitar center used section on their website. you can find some good deals on just about any style guitar you want. you can always return it to your local store if you don't like it.

If you go this route PYA. Personals are the go to but beware, a lot of people seem to think guitars appreciate over a couple years which is absolutely not true.

what are you looking for. i have at least one that im willing to part with and i can promise that they are in near perfect shape. i have just upgraded past a few and need to get rid of some.
humbuckers, single coils, hardtail, floyd rose, bolt on, set neck? gimme some options. also, im not looking to screw anyone on price, i just dont want to give it away and none of my friends have a need.

Is it against the rules to list a guitar to sell on this board? I have a really nice custom Warmoth I may look to unload.

its against the rules to outright try and start a thread just to sell your stuff. if someone wants to trade emails when both parties have a need and supply that matches, then handle it off the board and no one minds it.
you just cant give an inch or some jackass will ruin it for everyone. be discretionary about selling stuff on here.

I've been looking at some hollow bodies and semi-hollows but still havent figured out exactly what I want

guitar center has a pretty decent selection of hollow bodies. check them out.
also check out hellomusic.com. register and sign in. every 24 hours they have a few new deals and its always at least 25% off. usually closer to 50% off. TONS of hollow bodies. gretsch for under 600, a bunch of other really nice ones too.
i have a schecter damien fr i need to get rid of. emg hz, floyd rose, satin black finish. i would let it go for 200, but i dont think you want that type of guitar.
definitely check out hello music, i wont buy another instrument before waiting out a month of deals on that site. bought a mtd bass and found one for hundreds cheaper and two models above mine just days after the purchase.
