When do you think it was when Outkast jumped the shark?

I feel like their first three albums were great:
Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik
ATLiens
Aquemini
To me, after Aquemini is when their sound changed drastically into more commercialized bubble gum pop music.

That "roses" song..
Catchy as hell.. but just seemed like the lyrics got lazy

However, I feel like Idlewild is horribly underrated.
The Train is a fantastic song

Stankonia has some incredible songs.
I don't think they changed their sound so much as Big Boi and Dre became too different to coexist on tracks. That manifested itself with the split on Speakerboxx/Love Below.
They wound up going their own directions as artists and couldn't maintain as Outkast.
On Stankonia, people underrate how new that was at the time. No rap sounded like Bombs Over Baghdad when they dropped that track.

I feel the same. Their music after Aquemini doesn't even sound like the same group. That can be good sometimes, but I was disappointed. ATLiens is fantastic.

I would argue that their first 3 albums are very different as well. Southernplayalistic... doesn't sound like ATLiens and ATLiens doesn't sound like Aquemini.
Outkast changed a lot of their sound and direction album to album. It wasn't just Stankonia and on, quite literally every one of their albums has its own vibe.
It's one of the reasons I like them so much. Very few rappers or rap groups have that much of an evolution, and the quality is incredibly high.
