Left in 2019 before the Rona. Frenchman St on weekends, and what are seeing shows live now like? I saw dba, Tips, and somewhere else require vax. Just looking for protocol and what’s slick, not political stuff or whatever.

DBA has a courtyard across the street now, they’ve had some good shows recently.

Spotted Cat keeps a good vibe, as does Favela Chic and 30/90.

Dragon’s Den has turned into the type of place where you pat people down before they enter and cops have to post up in the street by it.

Thanks the reply. Sounds like music is being played and people are going to shows now. Good to hear.

Most venues are packed on the weekends with a diverse crowd of locals, tourists, bridesmaids, etc. The bands are mostly similar, all playing jazz and funk standard covers. The days of Frenchman being all about original music exclusively for locals is long gone, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

FYI: DBA, much like Maple Leaf and Tipitina’s, requires proof of vaccination to enter.
