Man, you´ve got to be Canadian to love, and know, all the nuances of Rush.

They have some good tunes, and I respect the hell out of Alex Lifeson.

That said, they´ve never done it, for me.

Of course I grew up with them and they have just become a part of my blood I believe. Everything after the first album and prior to Moving Pictures is still a part of my regular rotation. The others get a listen every once in a while.

great respect. I think I understand them, and do appreciate them, especially Alex. But, I don´t get properly excited. It´s über meh.

I´m sorry.

I liken it to The Police. I love them, pretty much, but know many don´t, and I comprehend why.

For me, they´re tedious. However, I get what they´re about, and don´t slag them. They just aren´t my cup of tea.

Kind of like a poor man´s Yes. Slagging? Maybe, but I see them as less intricate and more obvious.

I don´t love Yes, either. I respect them, however.

I get The Police thing. I am a big Stewart Copeland fan even if he doesn't get much respect among drummers. They are another band that most either love or hate.

Godlike. The other two, especially Sting, meh. Andy can crunch, and is prolific, but I don´t lose my shite over him.

They´ve got some hellatious tunes. The sum is better than the parts (with Stewart carrying the weight, IMNSHO).
