What was the name of the live music venue

On Acadian/Stanford by the LSU lakes back in the 69s and 70s? It was right close to where those new apartments are.

More energy than any group I've ever seen. AND, the bass wasn't cut out of the mix as it was in their recordings. They tore down the house and came back two weeks later on their southern tour. Went back and was equally impressed.

The Speakeasy apparently closed around '75. By c. 1980 it was a convenience store (I recall using a pay phone there as a preteen around that time)

Speakeasy was a small “supermarket” originally I think. Became a convenience store after the bar. Later became BR’s Volvo dealership.
