I'll have to go with A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell

Just becuase you don't like Piper and SOC doesn't mean you have to pick 2 of their crappiest albums.

Obscured by clouds (criminally underrated)

It was the album that set up DSOTM. THey learned how to create quick 3-4 minute songs instead of meandering jams. This album was recorded in 1972 as a soundtrack for the movie La Vallée. Once Gilmour established himself as a member of the band, they did a lot of soundtrack work. More in '69' Zabrieskie Point in '70, and Obscured in '72. It is my opinion that between 1969 and 1973 that they did their best work. Listening to the albums in order, you can feel them getting better and better as they went along. For me, Obscured by Clouds is their greatest achievement because it had great lyrics, music, song construction, and collaboration. Even more so than DSOTM.

Also, here's a link to my personal favorite song, green is the Colour from the More soundtrack. This is the live version and the same as the song I danced with my wife at our wedding.
