Anyone else dig this? Possibly the greatest showman of all time. Elvis and James Brown were his close friends. He got a lot of his stage presence later from JB and elvis started wearing the jumpsuits and capes because of Wayne.

He had an awesome band. They were more of a regional touring act and later a Vegas house show but damn they could bring the house down.

They were one of my unknown favorites. Very tight band and show. Saw them in the 70's/80's when we were young and going out and places. One time to Vegas. I've got an 8-track in the closet, that was great in the day.

Learned about him in a book about Jaco. The CC Riders would be the opening act - terrific band. There are youtube recordings of the group via Jaco.

I remember Wayne up on the old Bossier Strip. Last track I had of him, his voice got to the point he couldn't sing like he thought he needed to, ditched the music business and went into the church business as a preacher. I'm thinking in Florida, but could be mistaken on that. He was damned good in his day. No doubt about that.
