Dude. It's Waka, they are trying to appeal to all the dubstep kidz. Most of the people there heard about cheese like a year ago

Denial also isn't comparing shows from different venues. Their shows at Hulaween and Waka are very different from say Austin, Red Rocks, Jazzfest, etc


That's what makes them so great. They adapt their playing to the crowd

I do agree with you Dave. I thought their first set was kinda eh. I couldn't get a groove or feel to it. I think it was because they were playing to the crowd from what they had heard earlier in the day. First STS9, which is different than SCI, then a complete mind frick from Flaming Lips, so I think they tried to follow the mood/tone/ however everyone was feeling and played to that style. The second set was unbelievable, in my opinion. But that was also SCI playing after Xavier Rudd, Ed Sharpe, who I sat next to and their are many pictures of me and my friends literally right next to him during his performance, then SCI got to play more of what makes them so great. All my opinion.

Yeah I didnt get the feeling it was a "dub step fest". Majority of the performers were full band sets. I think I may have seen two or three DJ sets the whole time I was there. Bassnectar, Adventure Club, and Boombox ( DJ with a guitarist).

They were obviously going to check out other bands but cheese is what brought them there. That's the reason I went also pretty much to see cheese and party my balls off
