Anyone went to their concert last night at the N.O. Arena?

Thoughts on the show?

Eddie is still one of the best Guitarist on the planet.

DLR can no longer hit the high notes.

They rocked but wasnt the same without DLR's high notes

Yea. I was def entertained. That was the first time for me seeing them with DLR. Like somebody said he didn't quite sound as good as he used to but made up for it with his quirkiness-entertainment. I was even impressed with Wolfgang. He did alright. And of course Eddie, looking much older can still fukcing make that guitar look like his bitch.

Except I was in the can during Ice Cream Man.
I would have missed Panama 1000+ over to see my I.C.M.

i've got the lifetime van halen curse.

had tix for the 'fair warning' and 'diver down' shows, but got grounded by my folks & ended up having to sell 'em.

had tix for '1984', but someone offered me super bowl tix the same night as the show. "what the hell, i'll go to the super bowl...i can catch 'em on the next tour". of course, DLR leaves after that tour and adding insult to injury, while i had no regrets going to the super bowl, it was a blowout (raiders 38, redskins 9).

wasn't interested enough during the hagar years to be honest, so i didn't make the effort to see 'em. but when DLR came back, i had a chance to see 'em in '07 but a work-related crises kept me from going. i had a chance to see 'em in charlotte in april, but my work schedule got fricked up at the last minute & i got off too late to make it to the show in time. so finally, i had tix in hand to see 'em in greenville....and the damn show gets cancelled.

frick.

hope y'all had a good time, 'tho
