Ok, I got them set up in a little system in a bedroom with a Pro-Ject Debut turntable and a pair of Zu Audio Omen loudspeakers.
So far, so good--only been on about a half hour now, but no issues yet!!
Thanks to all for the comments. I'm off to restore an old McIntosh 240 power amp now... (1958).
