Wildflowers & All the Rest will be available in multiple editions, ranging from a two-CD set featuring 30 tracks to a nine-LP vinyl edition featuring 70 tracks, a 60-page booklet, an exclusive lithograph and more.

The reissue features the original 1994 album, along with unreleased songs, alternate versions, live tracks and home demos.

"Tom's vision of the project is becoming a reality due to the commitment of his loving family, bandmates and collaborators who helped unearth many previously unheard gems," Petty's estate said on Instagram.

Anyone buying the 9 LP $500 box set ?

Depends....if it is numbered and limited to a small run, it can have a resale value of $1000 within a year...but if 15,000 boxes are pressed, well then probably not.

I’m just an average Petty fan, so I really wouldn’t buy the box and listen to all the outtakes and demos.

I would ! Rick Rubin said they had a couple dozen songs at the time Wild Flowers was made and they all were good enough to be on the album. They could have done a double album but the record company and Tom decided not to . Rubin said he has those songs on a CD .
