I'm a big fan but not too excited about this one. New-age music doesn't really interest me. I'll give it a listen of course, as I do all his stuff. I just wish he'd get back to his regular style of music. I'd even be happy with another Christmas album.

He's the King of melody. So I tend to agree, that is his best stuff. Illinois, Carrie and Lowell etc. So who knows, I haven't heard it yet.

Yeah, 21 new age, ambient tracks definitely doesn’t sound like my jam, but I’ll give it a chance just because Sufjan is so brilliant. I remember being disappointed when I heard that Carrie and Lowell was going to be a more stripped-down, minimalist album, and it ended up my favorite Sufjan.

Seven Swans is my favorite Sufjan album. Not really interested in any new age, ambient music.
