What's the worst musical opinions y'all have heard?
The effusive praise that Radiohead gets. I dig some of the stuff. I don't think they're without talent in any way. But, my goodness the dedication of their fan base seems all out of proportion to the bands' output, IMHO.

Many Metallica fans insist that the albums Load and Reload are subpar and cast the band as "sell-outs" for releasing those records.
I argue that the albums they've recorded post-St. Anger (Death Maqnetic, Hardwired...) are in fact more emblematic of the band selling-out, as they eschewed maturity and natural artistic progression in favor of "going back to their roots" and delivering contrived trash metal songs that sound forced coming from a group of fifty-something-year-old men. They know most self-described "metal-heads" don't want to be challenged and will eat this rehashed stuff up.
Metallica took chances on the Load records and especially with St. Anger, but since then they've played it safe. That goes against everything James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich said in interviews defending the Load albums in the late 90s.
