I've been exploring some late 60's early 70's "progressive" rock music.

Timothy was their hit, about cannibalism.

The Buoys aren't bad. "Tell Me Heaven Is Here" is a good song, with a nice guitar solo and jam about 2:03:

Look Back America has kind of a CSN feel to it:

One commenter said "reminds me of Steppenwold 'Monster'". I agree.

Moondog...The Blind Viking of 6th Avenue

quote:

Louis Thomas Hardin (May 26, 1916 – September 8, 1999), better known as Moondog, was an American composer, musician, poet and inventor of several musical instruments. He was blind from the age of 16. In New York from the late 1940s until he left in 1972, he could often be found on 6th Avenue between 52nd and 55th Street wearing a cloak and Viking-style helmet.

Some of the Wishbone Ash reminded me of Pink Floyd.

I'm having a good music overload tonight.

...Here's another one that I like from that time period. From the cover you're not really sure what to expect.

Demon Fuzz - Afreaka!
