Summerland Tour

I didn't even hear about this tour until Saturday afternoon and it stopped through Denver last night. In order of appearance, it's Sponge, Filter, Live, and Everclear. The tour is Art Alexakis' brainchild.

I wasn't ever really a Sponge fan, but their relatively short set was a solid one.

I saw Filter about 10yrs ago and I thought they were mediochre. Last night they impressed me with a strong set. They played their cover of "Happy Together" which apparently is on The Great Gatsby soundtrack. It was a pleasant surprise and I caught the whole song on video.

Live was the band I was most looking forward to, and they did not dissapoint. They had a considerably longer set than than the first two bands and they killed it. I got video of all of Lakini's Juice. I had never seen them before and was amazed how much Chris Shinn sounds like Ed. His voice might even be better. Their set kicked arse and was my favorite of the night.

Everclear was Everclear. They played their hits and brought their expected energy with all their songs. An awesome set as well.

If you guys get the chance to see this tour, I suggest doing it
