Was amazing! Listening again on Nugs here too!
Laur has to be the baddest guitar virtuous no one knows about. Told rest of my group Sturgill might be 2nd best guitarist on that stage tonight.
Keyboard player killed it too. Been appreciating those fellas more at concerts lately. Happy keys!
Blown away. Been a long time coming.
Time to plan the next one!

From the word go. He came up for air a couple times to talk to the audience but they pretty much stayed in the groove the whole time.
Around 2018 Sturgill sat in with Widespread at a festival in South Carolina and I really think he absorbed some of their know how when it comes to seamlessly jamming from one song to the next. He doesn’t go chasing chickens either. Everything is steady like and the boys on stage all played concise and tight.

Man I hope the festival lets him go long

I’m hearing ACL will give him an hour.

ACL runs a tight ship, especially on the final acts. There’s sound ordnances that kick in at 10 so they’ve cut mics before.
Last year Kendrick Lamar showed up late to his set and basically only played for 20 minutes because they cut it off at the normal time.
The Sunday head liners are starting later than the earlier days, so he’ll likely get in about an hour- 1:20 minute set at best

Im back home and that was a show. Better than I expected in every way. I listened on Nugs on the way home and the recording is excellent. You hear more of the individual instruments and singing than I could at the show. I was kinda amped up at the show so listening again was great.
All of it was great but the song "You Don't Miss Your Water" live at nearly 18 minutes and the last half hour was really special part of a really special night.
