He did the song with him at some Grammy showcase. The interview portion is awesome too. It’s John Prine telling stories and at some point Sturgill throws his hands up like “I got nothing. What am I doing here?” In a good and funny way. Not being a dick. Just saying I have zero stories as cool as Bob Dylan singing back up for me because he thought I was so good coming up.

One of my favorite Prine songs well and respectfully covered by Sturgill.

You should watch the video I mentioned. Just YouTube “Sturgill and John Prine” and it has to be in the top 5 of the search. It’s a long winded interview that JP makes entertaining. Then they do about 3-4 songs together. You could tell Sturgill seemed very respectful near revered. Hell he looks a little nervous maybe. Maybe I’m reading too much into it.

So well done. It helps that Paradise is one of my favorite Prine songs.
Saving Country Music has a nice little write up about it.
Apparently it was recorded when Sturgill was recording Cutting Grass vol 1 at The Butcher Shoppe, and was the last thing recorded there before the place was demo'd.
