and Steve Winwood was only 16 when he first recorded with the Spencer Davis group. Your point?

Just that you don't hear of a lot of cats that young recording that type of music at such a young age. I knew about Stevie, just learned this about Lukather. The thing that really astounds me is that by the time he was 25 he had played on hundreds of sessions for everyone from The Tubes to Lionel Richie.
Very talented guy.

By the time he was 25 Jimmy page had played on sessions for the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, The Who, The Kinks, Joe Cocker and formed Led Zeppelin. Eric Clapton had left the Yardbirds and formed Cream by 25, George Harrison was 18 when joined the Beatles, was not yet 20 when "love me do" became the Beatle's first hit, Elvis had his first number one hit at 20, there are hundreds of others.

I'm sure those guys couldn't even spell Algebra. That's why they started a band.

Come on Kafka, those kids were lip syncing their asses off. I'm sure the Wrecking Crew laid those tracks down for them.
