Anyone had a chance to check out the side project from Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris? I’m going to check him out live at the Masquerade in Atlanta on the 4th. It’s a definite departure from his Maiden roots, but his bass lines are still incredible. His vocalist is growing on me, but he took some getting used to. I think it’s probably due to having an internal bias for Bruce.

Got their first album when it came out; liked it, but it didn’t blow me away. Big fan of Steve. Heard a few songs from the follow up and they sound pretty good. Guess I’ll be getting it soon. Had to work when they played in Houston a few weeks ago. Let us know how the show goes.

Great show last night! Definitely worth checking out if you get a chance. It was great seeing Steve so up close and personal. He’s very very high energy even at 60+ years of age. I wasn’t sure how the vocals would sound because it took some getting used to one the record, but IMO he sounds much much better in a live setting... Also, Steve and the band did a meet and greet about 30 minutes after the show by the merch tables. He graciously signed autographs and posed for pics with fans. If you’re a Maiden fan or just a fan of Steve in general, this is a great opportunity that you probably will never have again.

A couple pics from the show. Hope they aren’t too big. It’s hard to tell posting from my phone. Still can’t believe that I was able to watch Steve play bass 3 feet away from me.
