Does anyone remember this artist?
As a pop singer in the 1960s, he maintains, to this day, a dubious record: he is the artist with the most Billboard Top 100 single records, to never reach the Top 40: 9. A couple of these are memorable releases: "Everyday I Have To Cry" and "Amerikan Music".
However, his greatest success came as a producer for Miami's TK Records in the 1970s. His production of "Why Can't We Live Together" by Timmy Thomas is unique for its haunting organ accompiament. A couple other notable Alaimo productions are "Rock Your Baby" by George McCrae and "Rockin' Chair" by Gwen McCrae.
