How many and what kind of speakers would you suggest for any dj to have? I have been looking into getting my own equipment and djing for small venues and personal partys. Thanks

These days you really only need 1 powered Sub and 2 powered Tops.
Mackie, Yorkville, QSC, JBL, Behringer (if you're really on a budget)
All of these companies make powered speakers.

u wanna make a decisions if u want active or passive speakers. Go from there.
