We have all been there. Friends or family passing away, depression, struggles with addiction. Anything that gets you really down. What has helped you through he tough times?
For me a lot of Beatles songs especially Let It Be as well as Bob Marley - Three Little Birds have always helped me when everything seems to be slipping away.
Also i grew up listening to phish so anytime I can sit and listen to them it brightens my day. What say you?

When I was in high school and my girlfriend dumped my bitch arse I listened to Boulevard of Broken Dreams probably 10 times a day. What a pussy.
For me it is non stop Grateful Dead. Couldn't possibly stay down listening to that.
I also like to listen to David Allen Coe when I'm feeling down.
Modest Mouse has a nice mix of songs that are sad and songs that are about making it through hard times. Listen straight through Good News For People Who Like Bad News

Also while my guitar gently weeps, I've almost started crying during a concert when they played that. I'm sure that may have been slightly substance induced.

I was stuck on Third Eye Blind in the same situation: Motorcycle DriveBy, Hows It Gonna Be, Background, God of Wine. I was a puss as well

Sinatch and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. Most powerful antidote to the blues and games of broads and dames.

When my dad died, listening to the song All Things Must Pass by George Harrison was comforting.
