I realize I'm about 3 years late on this, so please bear with a noob

1). If I pay for the Premium membership ($9.99/month), then I can transfer any song available in Spotify's database into my Itunes account and synch to my phone?

2). Let's say I get all the music I need after 30 days. I've downloaded 1,000 songs into my Itunes account, and I cancel my account after 1 month. Will I still have all my downloaded music in Itunes forever? Or will I lose everything once I stop paying/cancel my account?

can't believe I'm just now finding out how awesome spotify seems to be.....

Yes, Pull up spotify and Itunes, then drag the files into the "itunes" or "home fioles" folder. then put your phone on the same connection as the computer and it will automatically sync all the songs

You dont download the music from spotify. its a coninous thing, the songs wont still be on your phone if you cancel your account

Using it on a home computer is comepletely free though

ok, I tried this with the free account, but I guess it only works with the paid subscription.

well this sucks. that's the whole reason why I want the music, so I can play it wherever I go (where I don't have internet connection).

what's my best option for something similar to spotify, where I can download all I want for a certain price per month (not per song)

If the songs are synced to your phone, you can play the songs offline.

ok, yeah I'm a dumbass, that's what I figured.

So if I have 20 albums I want to put on my Iphone/Ipod, my best bet is to pay for 1 month of spotify for $10, transfer all 20 albums to my itunes account, sync to my phone, then cancel my spotify account?

completely legit, legal, and my best option?

No because the songs are synced to the spotify app, not your phone

Think of it this way. Youre not buying the songs. Youre renting them. When you quit paying rent they dissappear. But as long as youre paying that rent youre free to use them at will.

Does everyone around here really pay for music?

well frick me running, I can't pay $10 every month for the rest of my life, I'm too poor for all of that

Is there any other option out there where I don't purchase music by the song? I'm talking something legit and legal, not torrents.

I'm willing to, but not if I have to pay $1 for each song. I'm not computer savvy, I suck at torrents, and the youtube converters suck because youtube music/quality sucks. Don't really know what other options there are....

looking into it, thanks. it's basically a mp3 database that is free to download, and no viruses?

Its 10 dollars man.

Thats the equivalent to buying one album a month except you have pretty much every song in the world at the tip of your fingers...... its well worth it

Yea sorry People freak me out with this shite. Use Mp3Skull and you can get most of the singles you want and drag them into whatever library you have and thats it.

ETA: no viruses to my knowledge. Not on my comp at least.

I do. Spotify is well worth it.

No hassle, basically any song i want with a touch of a finger, great for finding new music, great for sharing music, radio function like Pandora, secondary apps that make the most out of spotify etc etc

10 bucks a month is a freakin steal imo

Believe me i never thought i would pay money for music, but now i cant see myself going back to trying to scour the internet for every song i want to listen to and hope I have the certain song i want to listen to at any given moment

Exactly.

Spotify is actually WAYYYY more convenient than stealing it. If youre still stealing it youre either a cheap fricker or doing it for the spite of it.

You could say that but its really easy to use mp3skull to download certian songs that you want, instead of buying whole albums. I buy music alot of Itunes if I want it for life.

Yep. and if you can afford a footlong at subway once a month, you can afford to pay for spotify. ITs amazing to me how people scoff at that price like its a ton of money. Im poor as hell and that 10 dollars have never come back to bite me in the arse

so I just downloaded spotify on my computer and my phone (app), both free versions. I don't even see the point in paying for it since it's free (haven't even seen an ad yet).

but yes, spotify does seem pretty amazing. instant streaming, no lag, every song just about, etc etc. don't know why it took me this long to get it

Ive never used mp3skull so I dont knoe for sure but i really cant see it being more convenient than spotify. No i dont have the songs for life but i dont plan on ever getting rid of spotify so it doesnt really matter

Or you could have both anytime you wanted for the same price as one of those albums you say that you buy

Oh that drunk bitch youre trying to get a handy from wants to hear that song you hate but just said that you loved? a quick search and poof a minute later youre listening to that song and shes playing wack a mole.
