Yes I’m older!
But it’s not
Chris Farley, Norm MacDonald, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Jane Curtin, Eddie Murphy, Gilda Radner, Martin Short, Molly Shannon, Dennis Miller, Adam Sandler
Good.

Not the same. Kinda boring and stupid last time I tuned in
And not stupid in a funny way!

No. It has been low-brow PC liberal humor since 2016 ish...just terrible. Watch this cold open from earlier this year and try to laugh once. Just once. LINK

It still has its moments, but they are getting more rare as time passes by. I've been watching the show since the early 90s, and most of the 90s were very good. The early to mid 00's cast and show were so-so, very hit or miss with sketches. Late 00's through about 2015 was also very good. So no, it's not that I'm getting older. I didn't like the show in the 00's. It's just that the show has zero edge any more and is only interested in doing safe comedy that less than half the country will find funny.

yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody has been saying that about SNL since the early 80's after the original cast was gone. The M/TV board has been saying it year after year even before there was a M/TV board.

SNL has always mocked politics. Go rewatch some of those old sketches without nostalgia kicking in and you'll realize there were a lot of duds.

Here's a cold open from way back. Let me know if you laughed. LINK

Did you miss the part where I said that SNL was good in the late 00’s up until 2016 ish?

I’m not claiming that there weren’t duds back in the day and that there wasn’t political humor. That is not the point.

It's still the same.

BTW, this recent was pretty good.

SNL is still super inconsistent like always, but this season had some really funny sketches:
Waffle House

Basically, the quality of the episode depends heavily on the quality of the host. When Pedro Pascal, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, and Jenna Ortega were hosting, the show had really good sketches.

To be fair I haven’t watch SNL in years. I’m just old and out of touch with current pop culture I guess
