I've read/ heard yes and no on this:
In the video for "Alive and Kicking", is that bass player really standing INCHES from the edge of that cliff? Or is it trick photography.
I figured someone on here would know for sure.

Given that it was 1985 and the technology of the time, I'd say they are really standing on the cliff. I doubt anything was done in post as it would have been extremely expensive if even possible at the time. But they may have done some forced perspective to make things look more dangerous than they were. Even if they did, I can't see anything that wouldn't have been perfectly safe.
