you have an unnatural affection for Jones he was a colossal a-hole and becaming psycotic
Yes, I am intrigued by Jones. Partly this is due to knowing so little about him, especially when I was younger. Books about the Stones did not go into much detail on him. He was just a mysterious figure on album covers.
Even in this age of the internet and having read the Trynka bio, he remains an enigma.
Why did he allow Jagger & Richards to take the band away from him?
Why didn't he try to write more songs? Gene Clark claimed that Brian wrote about 25% of the music for "Eight Miles High" (their bands were both in Pittsburgh & staying at the same hotel). But he declined to put his name on the credits (McGuinn wrote one line, Crosby nothing at all, but they insisted on getting a piece of the song).
Brian clearly could write music, & if he had trouble with lyrics he could have found a collaborator, and settled in as the George of the band.
Brian is the most fascinating of the Stones, the way John is the most fascinating of The Beatles. But unlike the over examined/explained John, Brian will likely always remain an enigma.

there is A lot out there if you want to get to it basically he was an extremely talented musician but he didn't go too deep into anything and once the whole Rockstar thing started to fold out he was more interested in being a celebrity than being a contributing band member
got deeper and deeper into drugs was not a functioning adult
Keith took Anita
bitch just quit

We paid what the promoters charged. Not the Boomers fault bands have pissed their money away in one form or another over the years and are coming back for one more dip at $$$. This Boomer refuses to go see the money grab.

Allegedly the ad placed by Brian Jones in Jazz News (May 1962). Seen by Ian Stewart, who became the 2nd member of the band.
Elmo Lewis = Brian
Dick Taylor later joined The Pretty Things
Mick Avory was longtime drummer for The Kinks.

Wiki:
quote:
Hush Puppies claimed their rubber soles saved the life of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards when he accidentally touched his guitar against an ungrounded microphone at a 1965 concert in Sacramento, California. Richards was knocked unconscious, but medics believed that the crepe-soled Hush Puppies shoes he was wearing insulated him and saved his life.
