The Rolling Stones, an American traditional dance band in the 1930s and a British band in the 1960s.
Supposedly, the "old" Stones were still active in the 1960s and sued the "new" Stones for using their "established" name, so some money had to change hands.

I've never been a big Stones fan. I appreciate what they do and their longevity, but after becoming friends with Chuck Leavell back in the late 90's, he invited me to see them.
I have to admit, I was kinda in awe of what I saw that night.

I like "She's so cold, she's so coooold. So cold her tombstone froze..when you get old, know one will remember that you were a beauty, a sweet sweet beauty, but you're too cold!" that song whatever it is.

Mr. Lewis (1917-2009) and Mrs. Louisa (1918-2011) Jones, both of whom outlived their son Brian by 40 years
"Some people felt Brian was lazy but what they didn't realise was that he was gifted with a totally natural musical ear...he once told me that he'd inherited this from his mother and together with her persistence when he was young, he'd found a love for music. This meant that when he'd figured out the basic mechanics of an instrument, he found it easy to translate the ideas inside his head into musical form. But he genuinely believed he owed it all to his mother." - Dave Thomson (Brian's friend)

Letter from Brian begging Linda Keith to marry him
But her greatest contribution to music came when she met ex-Animals bassist/wannabe manager Chas Chandler in NY & recommended he sign an unkown guitarist in Greenwich Village - Jimi Hendrix
quote:IIRC LK was an ex of Keith Richards
Dearest Darling Linda, I'm presently very smashed..., I have to tell you, we (Ossie Clark and I) were talking about people who should do the Eamon Andrews show and after suggesting a few really groovy people to frick Eamon's head up, Ossie suggested "How about Linda Keith to really floor him" Wow! How people dig you..., I'm getting two houses together Linda, a good scene, one in town + one in the country - please be with me, I'm so lonely by myself. I need you so badly + I love you so much, please understand what fricked us up before, a terrible combination of events, Please let's start again. PLEASE MARRY ME. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. All My love, Brian

I love this thread.
I kept one box of vinyl from late 60's to 70's and this album I believe is still in their. I may go look but it was some sort of bootleg I pick up in discount bin and it wa fascinating because the production was crap compared to the real albums.
