Saw Sturgill last night

Put on a great show as usual, but it was completely different than the first time I saw him play. As many of you know, he no longer tours with the horn section and he is also now playing his own lead guitar. Last night was him basically letting everyone know he can also play the guitar, and I've got to say...he can shred. It was much more of a pure rock show.

Played 4 songs in the middle on an acoustic and that was good as well. I think by the way he is performing now you can get a pretty good idea of where his next album is going. I expect it to be more straightforward Rick and guitar heavy.

Really talented guy with an incredible amount of range.

BTW, if anyone is ever in St Louis and thinking of taking in a show at The Fabulous Fox...make sure it's someone you HAVE to see because the venue absolutely blows. Second time there and I cringe every time an artist whose show I won't miss gets booked there.
