I think of BS the same way I look at metallica's self titled album. It's easy to like, but it doesn't have tons of "great" songs.
Sad wings, stained class, defenders... Those albums had GREAT songs on them. Lots of range.
If anyone wants a quintessential halford, check out unleashed in the east, the live priest album (kinda live) and live insurrection from the halford days. Both albums show how flawless he is and his consistency over 30 years is amazing. The last ten years he has really degraded, but it took him almost to 60 to hear a difference. Robert plant couldn't hit his notes 6 months after the album dropped.
