RIP Mikio Fujioka (of BABYMETAL)

Babymetal have confirmed that their Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka (center pic) has died at the age of 36.
Using Fujioka’s Twitter feed, his wife gave further details, reporting that he accidentally fell from an observation deck while star watching on December 30 and passed away in hospital on January 5 due to his injuries.
Fujioka was also a lecturer at a Japanese music school and published more than 10 guitar textbooks.
From past threads, I know many of you think that Babymetal are a joke, but the musicians in the band are excellent. Mikio was an outstanding guitar player and seemed to enjoy himself more than anyone while on stage.

That really is a shame. Their music is weird, but somehow cool.

Huge Babymetal fan and sad to see him pass. Saw them last year in Little Rock and they were incredible live.
