Saw him maybe 5-7 years ago at a place out in the middle of nowhere, where I'm sure he never played before or since, and it was one-third full because of lousy promotion.
The audience was so small it didn't feel like a normal concert. People were just sitting there in silence with polite appaulse after each song. There was also a problem with the air conditioning so he was sweating his arse off to the point you felt sorry for him.
He put on a full show, took requests, and was in perfect voice. RIP to a real legend.

Those old Country Reunion shows are great. B.J. Thomas was a pretty big deal for a while back in the day. His vocals on "Raindrops keep falling on my head" are flawless.
