A lot of good names mentioned in the thread. If you want a spectrum of several really good artists, check out the soundtrack for The Harder They Come. It features Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker, The Melodians and The Maytals.

I went to a Pepper show recently in Ventura. Ballyhoo opened for them and put on a great show. Pepper was not good.

I love Dub- Scientist, Pablo Augustus, King Tubby, etc.
But for a wide selection of reggae styles and artists, listen to KTRU (Rice Radio) on the internet, Wednesdays 5:00-7:00.I think this Wed. they are going to do a Christmas show, which should be interesting.
