ok , Lemmy , my favorite frontman of all time .Heres the top 5 Motorhead albums as i like them;
5.Another Perfect Day-1983..lesser known album but great songs from top to bottom
4.Inferno-2004..really heavy and Lemmys bass is sick on this album
3.Ace of Spades(1980)--although the title track gets overplayed( it still kicks arse every time i hear it) there are alot of gems on this album.Love me like a reptile..the chase is better than the catch just to name a couple .a classic motorhead release
2.Bomber-1979 ..Once again #2 and #1 i lose sleep over which one is better . the title track is epic,Dead Men Tell No Tales great song ..Stone Dead Forever ( whicj Metallica later covered ) just a hall of fame effort

And #1 --Overkill(1979) -Has to be ,right ? 1979 Was owned by Motorhead putting out these 2 classic releases within 6 mos of each other

I get why people think Motorhead's image is seminal/important, but they mostly suck.

Barely any good songs, shitty production. It was a point in time, I get it. But they were left in the dust by lots of other bands. This is almost like the Tom Waits of metal bands. Everyone famous always yaps about how good and influential he was - but good lord, Tom Waits fricking sucks.

Scrub- i should have put in i just wanted people to list the top 5 Motorhead studio albums like I did . I get it , you dont like Motorhead, so why are you posting then ? I would tell anyone Lemmy was not the best technical bass player in the world but his sound and style along with the overall band was unique to say the least . Now , Phil Campbell, Wurzel and Fast Eddie Clarke are ALL considered legendary guitarists . Mikey Dee is widely considered one of the top 5 hard /rock drummers in history So to say they "suck"? Nah man . Your just S A W F T .

Definitely disagree again, but to each his own.

My Motorhead top 5 feels pretty chalk.

5. Motorhead (1977)
4. Inferno (2004)
3. Another Perfect Day (1983)
2. Ace of Spade's (1980)
1. Overkill (1979)

Maybe sub in Bomber for Inferno to make it the most basic version of this list.

LOL no. But I'll play along partially - I love Ace of Spades. I actually kind of like the 1916 album. I'm So Bad Baby I Don't Care is so bad that it's good. But I legit like No Voices in the Sky.

I also really like the No More Tears version of Hellraiser. It shows what can happen when the production and instrumentation are actually given over to real professionals.

Finally, Stone Dead Forever is okay, although, again, the Metallica version is better.
