Phish Leg 1 Thoughts

Favorite jams from tour? Sets? I know some posters went to shows.
Jams I've been digging:
Worcester Ghost->Boogie
Cinci Twist
DC DWD->Sand
Alpine FEE
SPAC Piper (2)
Pitt Mike's>Simple>Light>Groove
I wasn't able to attend any shows but am hitting up Coke Mountain, ATL, StL, KC, and Denver come next month

we are gonna be at Oak Mtn for sure, and looks like ATL show too. You know of any after party shows going on after Oak Mtn?

I am going to Oak Mtn but probably no after-parties. I cant go see more music after a Phish show. Its always very underwhelming. Plus I'm usually too faded to go out afterwards.

Im doing Chaifetz through Dicks. First shows since Cypress.

I went to both shows at Deer Creek and those are the only two shows I've listened to in depth from this tour.
Night 1: The Curtain With, Wolfmans, Tweezer, Mikes Song > McGrupp > BOTT, Waves > Bug.
Waves and Wolfman's were the best jams of the night. Honorable mention to Mikes > McGrupp.
Night 2: DWD > Sand was easily the best jam of the night. Lots of fun covers and high energy but the first night was tops in terms of improv.
I'll be hitting up Coke Mtn. > Lakewood.

Ive listened to most of the leg now. I think the Star Lake Mikes>Simple>Light>Groove was the best segment of tour.

I loved the first leg. I thought it was easily the best leg of a tour they have played since they returned. Sure the improv still isn't quite ther like it once was, but it was still very good. Trey and Fish seem to be the most improved. Trey seems to be playing patient and even building up themes in these nice jams.
I went to Bonnaroo, Cincy, and Deer Creek. Bonnaroo was well played but nothing special at all about it besides the Shafty bustout. Cincy was awsome. The Twish is defiently worth a listen. Both nights of Deer Creek blew me away. Night one highlight was Waves with a awsome segue into Bug. The DWD>Sand on night two stole the show for me but the whole second set was great. Can't wait for leg 2!
I read someone asking about a after party for Coke Mountain. I'm not sure about that, but I do know the Heavy Pets are playing the 5 Spot in Little Five Points after the Lakewood show. They are a pretty good up and coming band.

I lived out of the country for most of the 2000's. Had a kid in 2010, and didn't have the interest of traveling to see them any more. Started listening to them again, wife, who had never heard then before, digs them. Gonna take her to her first shows.
