Kinda dig his stuff. Very country-gothic which is an interesting angle. Glad to see Sub Pop still putting out quality product too.

I like his stuff. That being said, a lot of smoke, mirrors and heavy marketing. The whole Gay Cowboy in a mask thing and constantly declaring himself "Im a country star" is a little to glitz for that genre. But he's speaking hardcore to millennials. sold out gasa gasa very quickly.

He came up in a station I recently made by starting with Jason and The Scorchers. Kinda liked the song. Wish i had not googled him.
