I like it! You know what your getting when they put a new album out. They typically cover Burnside, McDowell and Kimbrough. No different here. I really like their take on Bird Without A Feather. I've never heard a cover of that one except from Samuel Jackson on Black Snake Moan and Luther Dickinson taught him how to play that for the movie.

I'll pretty much dig in to whatever Luther puts his stamp of approval on.

Luther is one of my favorite guitarists, i just love his style and tone.

Nmas have always been a live band to me, i never put too much stock in their albums. First time i saw them was in sf around '01 i think and ive seen them numerous times since with many many different lineups.

I love shardes fife and her backing vocals on pray for peace.

My only real complaint is deep ellum, codys singing and cadence have never done anything for me and they play that song live a lot.

Great album nonetheless, and i hope they hit br on the tour supporting it.
