Would a Little Martin be a good choice? I’d like to buy something nice, but not break the bank. I have a 2 year old that would hopefully be playing it a little further down the road.

Goodwill auction online has 100s for sale at any given time. One can never go wrong with a Martin

If by little Martin you mean a smaller version and it is in fact you that wants to learn I would purchase a full size guitar. JMO

Your two year old is a LONG way from playing guitar unless he's idiot savant on the instrument like Taj Farrant.

YW. Others with far more experience than I will hopefully chime in as well. Just stick with it and put your hands on that guitar every day even if just for 10 minutes.

I'd buy used if it was me.

Yamahas are a nice bang for the buck as are Seagulls.

Good luck.

I alway recommend a Seagull for a starter. Then if you want to stay with it and "upgrade" they're usually quickly sold on the used market. Or keep it as well.

I always suggest people to look at places like Reverb and get a used Martin or other high end guitar.

Look into a Martin D-15 Mahogany.

I have a Sigma acoustic, which is made by Martin. I like it.
