What are your thoughts on The Disco Biscuits?

I want to like them but don’t know where to start. My deadhead buddy loves them, like all time favorite. I’ll admit I’ve seen them twice but it just never pulled me in. First time was in a bar that looked more like someone’s home. Buncha couches and probably less than 50 people. I’m thinking late 90s. Second time was a big fest. Maybe waka or bonnaroo? Two totally different experiences.
Same w Umphreys. I don’t know where to start but have never seen them live

Here is a show from a few weeks ago that is good - YouTube

And here is a good slice of top notch bisco - YouTube
Just like phish type 2, 24:30-34:30 is why i still go see these guys. That transition is referred to as blissco :)

I've seen the biscuits over the years almost as much as phish (~ 50 shows). I lived in PA for 8 years in the 2000s and they are from Philly so it was very accessible. They jam the electronica better than anyone.

I was introduced to phish by my golf partner in Monterey, CA back in 1998 or so and felt like I was late to the game. They are consummate pros and truly an unbelievable rock and roll experience

Me too. 2009 was actually a year I didn't see any shows. They're on a another peak right now so take advantage

Had my first and only Phish experience last year. I agree the energy was high and so was the audience but I just thought the songs dragged on and on. I was ready when the show was over and that's rare for me.

Agreed 100%. I’m doing ATL then saving up for Iceland next year. I hope the current momentum continues
