Email me at gmail. I have a two page excel sheet that i usu send brides before weddings. Ignore the obvious south la stuff and you got a good ball park. 4-5 hrs will be a while on a beach wedding. Usu 45 min is spent with background classical or progressively upbeat stuff till the first dances etc start.

Music for wedding reception

Trying to save money when I can do it myself(well my brother is gonna be in charge of the playlist for me). Besides....dj will just end up playing crap I don't like. This way.....EVERY song on my playlist was put by me and groom so we will approve.
Dj will end up playing some Justin Beiber or crap like that
(joking....but I'd rather not spend $500-1000 for a dj, that money can go towards my honeymoon...many people doing the iPod dj these days for weddings, if you take a lil effort with it, it can be pulled off...why I'm working on playlist over 2 months away from wedding)

Nurse I just remembered one of my favorite slow-dancers, and it's from a LA-based act:
The Uniques - "All These Things"
It'll give the proceedings a little flavor of Louisiana (well, Shreveport)

Any wedding reception that doesn't have some Percy Sledge bellyrubbin music is just wrong.
But then I'm from South Louisiana.
