Music Board's opinion on Phil Vassar

Used to listen to him a lot early to mid 2000's and have just started listening to a lot of his stuff again. I think he's a great pianist and songwriter. His older stuff is good but I feel like he started getting caught up in "today's country" (aka pop music) with some of his later stuff. Not sure if he's come out when anything recently.

I didn't care for Phil back in the day when I would listen to regular country radio. Just not my cup of tea..

I used to drink at a beach bar in Nashville where he played a solo show years before he got going. I'm not a big fan of his style, but so far as todays's "artists" go he's actually a polished player, singer/songwriter & performer. Ran into him about a month ago in a hotel lobby and he's also a down to earth good cat.

When that song 'Just Another Day In Paradise' comes on, it's a kick to the nuts. But I do believe he is talented
